"Sibling rhythm section Femi and TJ Koleoso put in a mighty shift throughout the album's over-long 19 tracks, thumping through fast-paced Afrobeat syncopations on "The Herald" and "Ajala", intricate highlife grooves on "Palm Wineʺ, and Latin clave on "Shaking Body". The "dance" is well covered, with horn players James Mollison and Ife Ogunjobi soaring over the backbeats, yet it is on the quieter moments of the album that the group display a new musicality"

"London's polyglot jazz quintet up the ante and target the dancefloor on seismic, floor-shaking third album ... The grooves seem deeper, the horns punchier and the hooks catchier ... Like a contemporary incarnation of The Jazz Messengers, perhaps, Ezra Collective are missionaries preaching the jazz gospel ... They have succeeded (...) in exponentially broadening jazz's audience and almost making it front-page news again. Later this year, as the climax of their 20-date European tour, Ezra Collective will be the first jazz band to headline Wembley Arena. The only way, it seems, is up"

"On their third album, the five-piece pivot their style of jazz into hard funk, dub, neo-soul, Afrobeat and highlife. Lead single "Ajala" is an ode to the latter two genres, its irresistible energy keeping you moving to the spirit of moped adventurer Olabisi Ajala. The tight stabs and strong horn lines here feature across the album, from the marching, joyous "Hear My Cry" to the Fela Kuti vibes of "Expensive". You know this record will sound even better live (especially at OVO Arena Wembley (...) in November)"

"'Dance, No One's Watching' is an ambitious step forward from 'Where I'm Meant to Be', and a musical extension of its creativity. In all, it proves Ezra Collective's prize-winning debut was no fluke. Look for this killer set to make many year-end lists - and soundtrack the dancefloors in clubs internationally"
